Twelve municipalities – one goal: Sweden’s best living environment.

A DYNAMIC METROPOLITAN REGION

A DYNAMIC METROPOLITAN REGION

The Malmö-Lund region is the engine of growth in Skåne and a dynamic part of the Öresund region and Europe. The region possesses many strengths to build upon and develop: a unique innovation environment, proximity to the continent, a young and highly educated population, and excellent infrastructure. However, the region also faces several challenges.

The municipalities within the Malmö-Lund region play a key role in addressing these challenges, and continued development requires close cooperation between municipalities, public authorities, and the business community.

The Malmö-Lund region serves as a platform for inter-municipal cooperation. This partnership comprises 12 municipalities working to ensure that the Malmö-Lund region becomes a sustainable, interconnected metropolitan region offering the best living environment and business climate in Sweden by 2035.
